Frequently Asked Questions
Payments
Is payment due upfront?
Half is due upfront (upon signing the engagement agreement) and the other half is due upon completion of services.
How should I submit payment?
Accepted forms of payment are cash or check.
Does insurance cover the cost of doula services?
Some insurance companies may cover the cost of doula services. However, it is your (the client's) responsibility to submit a claim to your insurance company.
Do you have a cutoff date for payments?
Yes. The first payment is due within one (1) week of signing the engagement agreement and the second payment is due within one (1) week of completion of services.
Miscellaneous
What sort of equipment will you provide to accompany your services?
During prenatal visits, we will be working on labor positions. For this, I will bring a peanut-shaped birthing ball and a rebozo scarf. During your birth, I will provide the birthing ball, washcloths for warm/cool compresses, coconut oil for relaxation techniques, a rebozo scarf, and a birth comb for the mother to grip during contractions.
Do you offer postpartum doula services?
No. I am a birth doula. However, as outlined in the 'Services' section, the client can add on one or two additional postpartum visits.
Do you offer aromatherapy or massage therapy?
No. As both of these require licensure, I do not offer them. I can offer massage (soothing touch), just not massage therapy (deep tissue massage).
I am planning on having a home birth. How far are you willing to travel?
Great question! I operate within a 40 mile radius of Bozeman, Montana.
